  Whilst the hotel is lovely and very well decorated, it's getting a bit old in places and could do with a refresh. The water pipes in our bathroom made the most horrendous grinding noise from the system which must have easily woken up the rest of the guests! Whilst showering, running the tap or flushing the loo. Eek. Our room was very lovely though and looked great, also a super comfy high bed!!
  
  The restaurant and garden were fab but I wasn't pleased at being stuck (twice!) on the small two person table at the end of the middle row in the main room which served as a turning point for pretty much everyone. I felt like I was being brushed by food, drinks, staff and guests all night, that table doesn't need to be there.
  
  Aside from the dining table, the food was lovely and the duck I had was simply delicious. Our waiter (didn't get his name, Italian chap) was delightful and very friendly. He had some great suggestions for dessert which we appreciated. Coconut parfait I think, very nice. The female staff for breakfast were also incredibly helpful and kind, even at 8:30 am which is more than can be said for me!
  
  Overall it's a fantastic place but would benefit from a bit of a reset.
