  The concept of cooking my own food really does make going out pointless. My steak came out on it's hot stone which did look impressive but when it's cooking away and I am still waiting for my second plate there is nothing I can do but watch it overcook. Not thrilled with my meal and won't be recommending it to others

  Very mixed experience - venison on the stone was pretty good... but only because I got to cook it myself. Potted mushroom starter is ground down like baby food... chips were like they were triple cooked & then heated under warming lamps & then microwaved... Eggs from ham, egg & chips were not runny when broken & cask beer was really poor... not sure I would return

  Surprisingly good food! Had lunch there and was very impressed with several items off the specials menu and their pie of the week. So impressed we came back for dinner same day to try their "hot rocks" steaks. Very nice too but the mixed grill was a little tricky because of the different cooking times for the three meats. Portion sizes are huge and good value. Atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Would definitely recommend and currently there is an evening dining offer on the hot rocks (excluding Fridays and Saturdays)
